Description
If you’re the type the likes to hit the trails after work you know how common it is get stuck hiking back in the dark. The Petzl Tikka XP 2 is much more affordable than many other name brand headlamps but still packs some great features for the weekend warrior. The Tikka XP 2 has two color modes, a super bright white LED for general use and navigating your way through trails in the dark and a red LED if, for some reason, you wish to preserve your natural night vision. The white LED operates in three different modes, a super bright mode for optimal vision, a power save mode to conserve battery life, and a blinking mode if you only wish to make yourself more visible to others. The red night vision led operates in a bright precision focused mode and a blinking awareness mode. A built in flip down wide angle lens can expand the peripheral coverage of both the white and red LEDs. The Point: Make your hikes home in the dark more enjoyable with the Petzle Tikka XP 2 headlamp. Petzl Tikka XP2 vs. Black Diamond Spot (07:12)
Petzl Tikka XP2 review starts at 0:38Black Diamond Spot review starts at 2:30Side by Side Light Output Comparison at 6:27We have two amazing headlamps here. The Petzl name is known for high quality and standards, but the Black Diamond seems to be just as well built and has more features in the end (plus it's a bit cheaper). One big flaw with the Black Diamond Spot is its red light. It is REALLY dim and is basicaly only good for viewing what you are doing with your hands. Both are great lights and we hope this review will help you make a more educated buying decision.
